Compare broadband deals in the UK
Last updated: 22 October 2026
Compare fibre and full fibre broadband from UK providers by average speed, monthly price and contract length — then check availability at your address on the provider's site.
How much speed do you need?
For one or two people browsing and streaming in HD, 30–70Mb is usually plenty. Busy homes with 4K streaming, gaming and video calls benefit from 150Mb to 500Mb full fibre.
Upload speed matters too if you work from home or back up photos — full fibre offers much faster uploads than part-fibre.
What to check before you sign
Look at the price after any introductory period and whether there are fixed annual price rises. Check set-up fees, router delivery and the contract length — 18 and 24 months are common.
Prices and speeds depend on your address, so always confirm with your postcode on the provider's site.
Switching is easier than ever
With One Touch Switch, your new provider arranges the move and cancels your old service — you don't need to call your old provider.
Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest broadband deal in the UK?
Open our broadband comparison and sort by price. The cheapest deal at your address depends on which networks reach your home.
What is the difference between fibre and full fibre?
Standard 'fibre' runs fibre to a street cabinet, then copper to your home. Full fibre runs fibre all the way to your home and is faster and more reliable.
Do I need a landline for broadband?
No. Most UK broadband no longer needs a phone line rental, and landline calls are moving to digital phone services.
Can I leave my broadband contract early?
Usually only by paying an early exit fee. You can leave without a fee in some cases, such as certain mid-contract price changes.
How long does switching broadband take?
Typically around two weeks, though it can be quicker. One Touch Switch keeps downtime to a minimum.
