SMARTY mobile network: coverage, customer service and complaints

Mobile phone mast on a UK hillside

SMARTY launched in 2017 and runs on Three's network. It is part of VodafoneThree.

SMARTY at a glance

  • Type: Virtual network using Three
  • Owned by: VodafoneThree
  • What it sells: 1-month rolling SIM only plans, including unlimited data and social tariffs.

SMARTY sells simple rolling plans with no annual price rises and support handled online.

SMARTY coverage

SMARTY doesn't own masts — it uses Three's network. Wherever Three has signal, SMARTY customers should too. Coverage varies street by street and indoors, so check your home and work postcodes on Ofcom's coverage checker before you buy.

Customer feedback: official complaint figures

Ofcom only publishes complaint figures for providers with more than 1.5% of the pay-monthly mobile market, and SMARTY is not currently listed. That says nothing good or bad about its service — it simply means the official figures don't cover it. Read reviews from CompareDirect members or check independent review sites before you switch.

Contact SMARTY customer service

These are the contact routes SMARTY publishes. Numbers starting 03 cost the same as a normal landline call and are usually included in phone plan minutes; 0800 and 0808 numbers are free. Check SMARTY's website for opening hours.

Complaining about SMARTY

Complain to SMARTY first. If it isn't resolved after eight weeks, or you get a 'deadlock letter', you can take it free of charge to the independent ombudsman scheme SMARTY belongs to. Ofcom explains the process on its how to complain page.
