Mobile phone mast on a UK hillside

Ecotalk is a mobile service from green energy company Ecotricity and runs on EE's network.

Ecotalk at a glance

  • Type: Virtual network using EE
  • Owned by: Ecotricity
  • What it sells: SIM only plans and refurbished phones.

Ecotalk uses customers' bills to buy land for nature conservation.

Ecotalk coverage

Ecotalk doesn't own masts — it uses EE's network. Wherever EE has signal, Ecotalk customers should too. Coverage varies street by street and indoors, so check your home and work postcodes on Ofcom's coverage checker before you buy.

Customer feedback: official complaint figures

Ofcom only publishes complaint figures for providers with more than 1.5% of the pay-monthly mobile market, and Ecotalk is not currently listed. That says nothing good or bad about its service — it simply means the official figures don't cover it. Read reviews from CompareDirect members or check independent review sites before you switch.

Contact Ecotalk customer service

These are the contact routes Ecotalk publishes. Numbers starting 03 cost the same as a normal landline call and are usually included in phone plan minutes; 0800 and 0808 numbers are free. Check Ecotalk's website for opening hours.

Complaining about Ecotalk

Complain to Ecotalk first. If it isn't resolved after eight weeks, or you get a 'deadlock letter', you can take it free of charge to the independent ombudsman scheme Ecotalk belongs to. Ofcom explains the process on its how to complain page.
