How to get a Motorola phone repaired

Request a repair from Motorola's support site, which arranges mail-in service.
- Back up your phone and note your model and IMEI number (dial *#06#).
- Check your warranty status on Motorola's support site.
- Describe the fault and choose walk-in, collection or mail-in where offered.
- Remove your SIM card and any case before handing the phone over.
Faulty phone? Your rights

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, a phone must be of satisfactory quality and last a reasonable time. Your rights are against the shop or network you bought it from, not only the manufacturer:
- Within 30 days: you can reject a faulty phone for a full refund.
- Within 6 months: the seller must repair or replace it, and it's assumed the fault was there from the start unless they prove otherwise.
- After 6 months: you can still claim, but you may need to show the fault was there when you bought it.
If you bought on a contract, contact your network too — they may arrange the repair. Accidental damage like a dropped screen isn't a fault, so check any insurance or care plan you have. See Citizens Advice for more.
